What is the next step after registering a company?
After registration your company, you must within two months issue each shareholder with a Share certificate. A share certificate is evidence of each shareholder’s title to their shares. Shareholders can use their certificate as evidence if their name is deleted from the company’s internal Register of
Members.
Who must register with CIDB?
Any contractor can register on the cidb RoC. Grades range from 1 to 9. The Construction Industry Development (CID) Regulations of 2004, as amended, bind public sector clients to only award construction contracts to cidb registered contractors.
Does CIDB expire?
No. The contractor’s listing is effectively removed from the cidb website once the
registration expires after 3 years. Contractors are strongly advised to apply for renewal 3 months before the date of expiry. Once a grading is awarded the name of the contractor gets published on the website.
Is it compulsory to register with CIDB?
No, However, all clients are required to register construction projects on the cidb Register of Projects. These are projects above R200 000 in value, in the public sector and those above R10 million for the the private sector and state-owned entities.
When should I register for CIDB?
Clients must apply the Register of Contractors when preparing a tender, advertising a tender and when evaluating a tender. The client must: Specify the required cidb contractor grading in the tender data, when preparing a tender.
Where do I register for CIDB certificate?
How to apply? Application forms must be completed in full and sent to the cidb together with all required supporting documents. All applications must be submitted on an approved registration form, which may be collected at any cidb Provincial Offices nationwide or downloaded from the website at www.cidb.org.za.

How do companies do annual returns?
Select the year of last return, which is the year when you last filed annual returns. Save the details and continue. Download the Annual Return Form, fill it and have it stamped by the Company Secretary. Upload the duly filled and stamped Annual Return Form for the year that you intend to file annual returns for.
Why do companies file annual returns?

Applicant must be at least 18 years old and be a permanent South African citizen.
Candidate must have a clear criminal record and not have committed any of the criminal offenses listed in the Private Security Industry Regulation Act. Applicant cannot be a member of military or security police.

For the first time, the PSiRA Certificate has an expiry date (18 months for security officers and 12 months for security businesses). It is in the best interest of the public for the authority to promote public safety through effective regulation of the private security industry.
